Bedlam Raffle - Now through Friday, Sept. 24

The Westside Community Center is now selling tickets to our annual Bedlam raffle! Raffle tickets are $5 for a chance to win a pair of OU vs. Texas or OU vs. Iowa State football tickets. Contact the WCC at (918) 336-6760 or visit us at 501 S. Bucy in Bartlesville for information about participating! All proceeds benefit the After School Zone students at the WCC. Drawing for the raffle will be held at 5 p.m., Sept. 24.

W.E. Pro$per Applications Deadline - Saturday, Sept. 18

This program equips youth ages 14-16 for summer employment. The program offers boys and girls career training, business ethics and etiquette beginning in the fall and running through the academic school year. At successful completion, students are placed in summer-long apprenticeships throughout the city of Bartlesville.

Applications for the 2010-2011 school year must be turned in by the first meeting, Sept. 18. Click on the link above or visit us at 501 S. Bucy in Bartlesville for an application.

W.E. Pro$per Kickoff Meeting - Saturday, Sept. 18

All youth interested in participating in W.E. Pro$per this year must have turned in an application and attend the meeting at the Westside Community Center on Saturday, Sept. 18 from noon - 3 p.m.

After School Zone Parent Meeting - Tuesday, Sept. 21

Parents, find out what your kids have been doing in the After School Zone! Join us here at the Center on Tuesday, Sept. 21 at 6 p.m. Dinner will be served.

Peaceful Pizza Party - Saturday, Sept. 25

Peaceful Warriors is a conflict resolution/anger management program hosted by the Westside Community Center.

The Center's peace-making trainers have been working with local students for five years now at Wilson Elementary School, and are currently expanding the program to other schools in Bartlesville, as well as an on-site component, known as the Peaceful Pizza Parties, held the last Saturday of every month from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

PEACEFUL WARRIORS TARGET CYBER BULLYING - The Westside Community Center's Peaceful Warriors team will address the threat posed by cyber bullying, and how it affects Bartlesville students in their day-to-day lives, at its first Peaceful Warriors Pizza Party of the 2010-2011 school year. The event will take place at the Center on Saturday, Sept. 25th from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
