This program, in conjunction with the Boys and
Girls club, equips youth ages 14-16 for summer employment.
The program offers boys and girls career
training through the Boys and Girls club and business ethics and
etiquette through SAFE Harbor.

The
Westside Community Center’s Work Ethics Pro$per program met
April 19th for a mock interview fair where the youth
involved in the program participated in a series of interviews
in which they presented their resumes and worked through the
interview process. The youth were then critiqued on their
performances. Interviewers included: Ernest Roberts, Lance
Armstead - ConocoPhillips, Bob Shell – Edward Jones, Richard
Mitchell – ConocoPhillips, Kelli Blair – VP Human Resources 66
FCU, Andria McCollough – Human Resources 66 FCU. Presenters
were: Joyce Dodd, Bettye Williams, Pat Gamble, Clarice Pettiford
and Linda Adams

Youth Employment Education Class of 2007 completed 24 hours of
training in May and are now serving apprenticeships at: Fiore
Systems, Inc.; Bartlesville Public Library; EmployAbility;
Phillips Petroleum Co. Museum; Conoco-Phillips; Rogers State
University; Agape Mission; Bartlesville Boys & Girls Club; The
YMCA; Westside Center; Dana Armstead-Mary Kay; Coast 2 Coast
Apparel; and Key Personnel.
This program for 14-16 years olds is an
excellent opportunity for volunteers interested in helping to
prepare youth for success in the professional world by assisting
with their classroom training at the Center and/or providing a
site for their on-the-job-training.
